Calmbirth® With Linda

The answer lies in the couple’s preparation, education and skills in childbirth, while embracing and being aware of the mind-body connection. This leads to a better and more positive birth.

We Learnt So Much!

Gaz and I loved your Calmbirth classes! We had fun and learnt so much. We felt so relaxed and ‘at home’ the whole weekend, and I think that comes down to your nurturing energy that filled the room. We couldn’t have loved it more. Both of us haven’t been so engaged in something the way we were in your workshop for a very long time. We could have listened to you forever, Especially your dreamy meditations!

Three Ways To Learn

FAQs

Ideally, you should do your Calmbirth® classes between weeks 24 to 34 of pregnancy. There are no hard and fast rules – sometimes people decide to book classes later in their pregnancy, and others prefer to attend a little earlier. It’s beneficial to have some time to process, reflect on and practice everything you’ve learnt in your Calmbirth® course.

When you attend Calmbirth® classes with Linda Forbes, you’ll learn tools and information to help with psychological and emotional preparation for childbirth. Linda will reframe what you, your partner and support people think and feel about birth, as well as empower women to work with their bodies. Of course, Linda will also help to educate partners and support people to help create the very best birth experience for you.

The confidence you’ll gain and the knowledge you’ll learn will allow you to retrain your stress response so you can achieve better outcomes. It teaches you to be proactive in your birth as opposed to reactive.

Calmbirth® classes with Linda also include fear release techniques, including guided relaxation. Guided relaxation, specially designed to help heal fear and anxiety about childbirth, can help you clear any negative emotions about giving birth.

Calmbirth® classes cost $550 for group classes or $850 for private sessions in your own home. Your partner or one support person may attend free of charge. A fee applies for additional support people. You can pay in full, or with a non-refundable deposit payment of $150.

If you no longer wish to attend your Calmbirth classes, we will refund any monies paid, minus the non-refundable deposit amount. If you need to reschedule your attendance to another date (if available), your deposit will be transferred.  However, please choose your classes carefully as there will be a $25 change of date fee.

There will be a substantial morning tea for all participants, then we’ll have a late lunch. Cafes are only a five-minute drive away, or if you prefer, you can bring your own food (a microwave is available). There are places to sit outside – in the Greensborough location, there’s a lovely verandah overlooking the bush.
